happy belated easter

i hope to find a little more time to sit down and write a post soon (I JUST finished our taxes, woo hoo!) but for now, i just wanted to wish everyone a happy belated easter and also say WELCOME SPRING!!! It feels so good to FINALLY have winter behind us! (I better watch what I say... just last week it dropped nearly 40 degrees within 2 days! but the weather is nice again...yeah!!!)

Also - if anyone has any tips for non-sedated ABRs (we have already done 3 of these hearing tests with whitney and have to do another one on April 29th) please share them!!!

Happy Belated Easter to you and your BEAUTIFUL family!
No tips on a an 'unsedated' ABR, Presley did have a sedated one when her tubes were put in last month, and showed a mild to moderate hearing loss, however the ENT said they always do more than one test due to false readings. Her retest is in June. Keep me posted on Whitneys!

The girls looks so, so adorable. Happy Belated Easter to you too! And Hooray for taxes being done. I succumbed this year and we hired a cpa--being self employed was more than I could handle in terms of taxes.

Cute Picture.
I have been lucky not to do sedation with any hearing test so far. Is Whitney a good sleeper? Lindsey naps at the same time every day so I schedule the test at her nap time. They put us back in room with the door closed for a few minutes as I get her to sleep. She sleeps throughout the entire test. They have commented on how she sleeps better than some of the kiddos that are sedated. So much easier for us but LIndsey is a good sleeper which is a huge plus.

Awww, they look so pretty!!!

We never did do a sedated ABR, we started it and Ella wasn't cooperative. Ella did not pass a hearing test until she was over 2 1/2, after her second set of tubes. Even then, they did a sound booth test where Ella just had to look side to side wherever the sound was coming from and she passed at the voice and whisper level but didn't pass the really low frequency ones.
